The State Secretariat of Metropolitan Transport (Secretaria dos Transportes Metropolitanos) is responsible for train services in the state of São Paulo. The Paulista Company of Metropolitan Transport (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos - CPTM) is responsible for the passenger network in São Paulo.

São Paulo train services

The Paulista Company of Metropolitan Transport (CPTM) is a network of metropolitan trains, operating six lines converted into light rail service lines which work along the metro system. The São Paulo Metro (Metropolitano de São Paulo - Metrô) has four lines with a fifth line currently under construction.

The Metro operates from Monday to Sunday from 04:40, each station has different closing times. Peak travel times on the Metro are from 07:00-09:00 and 17:30-19:00.
