Poupatempo

Poupatempo are situated in large urban centres, are easily accessible and offer over 400 different kinds of services from 68 different agencies (state, municipal, and federal).

A large reception desk is situated at the entrance (and smaller ones are located throughout the building) where visitors can obtain information easily and quickly. The main services carried out at Poupatempo include applications, updates and renewals of the following documents:

• Vehicle registration documents (Certificado de Registro e Licenciamento do Veículo - CRLV)
• Driver's licence (Carteira Nacional de Habilitação - CNH)
• Labour Card (Carteira de Trabalho e Previdência Social - CTPS)
• Unemployment insurance (Seguro–Desemprego)
• Individual Taypayer Number (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas - CPF)
• Proof of criminal record (Atestado de Antecedentes Criminais - AAC)

These giant citizen service centres have free Internet access terminals, post offices (Correios), passport photo and photocopy services, restaurants, washroom facilities and access for those with reduced mobility.

Transport Department

The Brazilian State Transport Department (Departamento Estadual de Trânsito), known as DETRAN, is responsible for issuing driving licences and car registration documents, among other things.

CCM (Cadastro de Contribuintes Mobiliarios)

The CCM (Cadastro de Contribuintes Mobiliarios) is the taxpayer's reference number for self-employed individuals. Applications for the CCM are made to the Local Authority (Secretaria de Financas do Municipio de São Paulo).
