Chico Buarque

I simply ADORE Chico Buarque and have been to 2 of his shows, both in smaller places, not a Maddona-shows' type of arenas.

Chico is deeply ingrained in our culture (mainly among university level niches) and many of his songs were related to the period of dictatorship here, and his art was our silent voice. You should try to read his words, understand their meaning and aprehend the context of everything he sings. He still looks kind of handsome, those blue eyes are a bonus for the ladies. He has books published too.

Hope I have helped.

I've read a few articles about him and what was happening at the time when things were not so good here in Brazil. I think it's such an amazing story which is what first sparked my interest about actually hearing him in concert.

He now has another fan and supporter. Thank you Regina. It's always so good to hear from someone who knows about the background and shares it with others who are yearning to learn.
